Williams leaves Valiants
Ben Williamson has left Port Vale and signed for Gillingham.
The striker was offered a new deal at Vale Park at the end of the season, but turned it down and has made the move to Priestfield.
The 26-year-old has signed a two-year deal.
After four-and-a-half years at Vale, the striker told Gillingham's official website: "I was at Port Vale for four years and sometimes it's good for a change and I'm moving back towards London now which is a bonus.
"We've reached an agreement and it's all worked out really well."
Manager Justin Edinburgh said: “I am absolutely delighted to have secured Ben for two years.
“A number of clubs were interested in him but the fact he has chosen to come to us shows how ambitious he is to be a part of what we are trying to build.
“He will prove a handful for any defence in this division and he provides us with something a little different to what we already have in Cody McDonald and Luke Norris.”
