Witness appeal after woman sexually assaulted in Stoke

Police are appealing for witnesses after a young woman was sexually assaulted in Stoke.

It is alleged to have taken place last Friday (23 August) at around 9.45pm in an alleyway between Bath Street and Sturgess Street. The streets are to the rear of the City Car Wash, on London Road.

The suspect is described as a white man, aged in his late 20s, around 5ft 8 tall and of slim build. He had blonde/mousey-coloured hair shaved round the sides with longer hair on top. He had a small nose and a greasy complexion. He spoke with a slight Liverpool accent and was wearing a black bomber-style jacket, a white/light blue coloured t-shirt and dark trousers. He was travelling on a dark-coloured mountain bike.
