Two men arrested in connection with the murder of a man in Stoke-on-Trent have been released under investigation.
The pair aged 29 and 44 were being held following the death of Anas Chergat whose body was found in Josiah Wedgwood Street in Etruria on Friday 23 August.
The 26-year-old died from stab wounds.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for information and are asking anyone who may know something or may have seen something to come forward.
Detectives have also released an image of a woman they believe may have been in the area at the time who could help provide further information.
The woman, who is believed to have been wearing running leggings at the time, is not being treated as a suspect.
It is believed she was in the area of Josiah Wedgwood Street and Clough Street on the evening of 22 August.
Detective Inspector Alan Lyford, from the force’s Major Investigation Department, said: “This remains a thorough investigation and we are continuing to ask anyone with information to come forward.
