Police appeal for witnesses following incident in Congleton

Cheshire Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a road traffic collision in Congleton. 

The incident happened at around 3pm on Saturday 22 June on the A54 on Buxton Road close to Tall Ash Avenue involving a van and a cyclist.

The cyclist, aged 57, was taken to hospital with serious facial injuries.

PC Jenny Knapman said: “Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing and as part of my investigation I want to speak to anyone who may have been in the area and witnessed what happened.

“I am also appealing for anyone who may have any dashcam footage to get in touch.”
