Police appeal for witnesses following fatal collision near Crewe

Cheshire police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a 58-year-old woman died following to a collision near Crewe.

Shortly before 10pm on Thursday 3 January officers were called to reports of a collision on the A500 at Barthomley.

Officers attended the scene and found there had been a collision between a grey Kia and a blue tractor.

Sadly the driver of the car - a 58-year-old local woman - died at the scene.

Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. The driver of the tractor was uninjured.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information or dashcam footage which may aid their investigation.
