A founding member of Joy Division and New Order is to headline this year's FAB Festival in Middlewich.
Peter Hook & The Light, will start the three day festival by performing on Friday 15th June.
His band have toured Joy Division and New Order's albums extensively since debuting "Unknown Pleasures" in 2010.
The 70's and 80's post-punk alternative rock bands, had many hits including 'Love Will Tear Us Apart', 'Blue Monday' the biggest selling 12 inch record of all time, and 'True Faith' from the platinum album, 'Substance'.
Mayor of Middlewich, Councillor Samantha Moss said: "I am very proud that 'Peter Hook & The Light' is the headline act for Friday night's concert, especially as he is a Cheshire resident.
"It's a great way to celebrate our regional musical talent and everyone is excited that we will host such a fantastic musician who has been hugely influential in music for over four decades and continues to inspire young muscians today.
"This is sure to help draw even bigger crowds from outside our area to boost Middlewich's economy."
Historically attracting an estimated 25,000 visitors into Middlewich over the three days, it is hoped that this year will draw even more people.
Each year, Middlewich FAB Festival boasts a vast range of artists, activities and attractions including a floating market and parade for everyone to enjoy and have a real sensory experience.
