Man killed in Stoke-on-Trent crash named

A man who died following a two lorry crash in Stoke-on-Trent has been named by police.

Paul Wright, aged 62, from Wolverhampton died in the collision involving two lorries on the A500 southbound slip road onto the A50 at around 9am on Tuesday (27 November).

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "Our thoughts are with Paul's family at this sad time.

"They are receiving the appropriate support from specially trained officers and they have requested that their privacy is respected."


Officers from the Staffordshire & West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are continuing to investigate the incident.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision are asking to call 101 quoting incident number 126 of 27 November.
