Staffordshire Police have confirmed that a 30 year-old man has died following a collision on the M6 motorway earlier today.
At just after 03:00am police were called to reports of a collision between a lorry and a pedestrian on the M6 Southbound between junction 14 and junction 13.
Emergency services have attended and have confirmed a man has died at the scene. The next of kin have been informed and specialist officers are supporting the man’s family.
The M6 remains closed and is expected to be closed for the next few hours.
Officers from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to contact 101, quoting incident 52 of 14 February.
UPDATE - There is still a total closure on #M6 Southbound at J14 #Creswell to J13 #Dunston due to a police lead incident.
