Investigation underway into Nantwich car fires

Firefighters and police are investigating two incidents in Nantwich in which three cars were set on fire overnight.

The first incident was in Beam Street at 12:50am, where a crew arrived to find two cars - a Vauxhall Astra and a Peugeot 206 - on fire.
The blazes are believed to have been started deliberately.

The second incident happened in Birchin Lane at 1:03am, where a small fire had been set under the rear of a car.
Anyone with any information about either of the incidents is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 19 of 16th October, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
