Group of Stoke fans staging walk to raise money for Dougie Mac

A group of Stoke City fans are taking part in a charity walk to raise money for the Dougie Mac hospice in Stoke-on-Trent.

Duncan Cowans, a hairdresser in Cheadle, along with seven other Stoke fans, set off at 5am from Molineux, the home of Wolverhampton Wanderers to the bet365 stadium.

The 35 miles sponsored walk is taking place to raise money for the Dougie Mac hospice in Barlaston and is in honour of the late Gordon Banks.

The walk has the endorsement and support of the Banks family.

The Legends of the 72 Stoke team are also totally supportive of this event and some are to join the group in the final leg of the walk.

Duncan, has been an ambassador for the hospice, and a fundraiser for 40 years.
