Four arrested after knife point robbery

Four people have been arrested after a knife point robbery in Stoke-on-Trent.

A 66-year-old man was attacked by a group of youths as he walked along the Trent and Mersey canal on Saturday afternoon.

One brandished a knife and forced him to hand over cash before another of the attackers pushed him into the canal between Westport Lake and Etruria.

The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries but has been left shocked by the incident.

A 12-year-old, two 14-year-olds, and a 15-year-old were arrested on suspicion of robbery - they have now been released under police investigation.
