Fatal Stoke crash victim named

A man who died after his motorbike was in collision with a HGV in Stoke has been formally identified.

Richard Thorley, aged 57, of Tean was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital following the incident on Campbell Road just before 4pm yesterday (13 August).

Despite the best efforts of medical staff, he died a short time later as a result of the injuries he had received. 

Mr Thorley's family members have requested that their privacy be respected while they deal with their loss.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any dashcam footage is asked to ring 101 quoting incident 528 of 13 August.
