Drugs and cash seized by police after stopping car in Lichfield

Staffordshire Police have arrested two men and a quantity of Class A drugs seized in Lichfield last night.

Officers stopped a black BMW on London Road at around 10.50pm yesterday evening as part of an intelligence-led drugs operation.

Following a search, a quantity of what is believed to be heroin was discovered, along with a number of mobile phones and over £600 in cash. 

A 28-year-old man, from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled drug and possessing controlled drugs with intent to supply.

A 19-year-old man, also from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled drug with intent to supply.

They both remain in custody at this time and enquiries are on-going.
