
A man from Crewe has been charged after a police officer was assaulted in the town.
The officer was injured after pulling over a car on Timbrell Avenue on Thursday 15 October.
A 34-year-old man has been charged with:
- inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent;
- assault by beating;
- taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent;
- theft from a person;
- driving while disqualified;
- driving without due care and attention.
He has also been charged with seven other unrelated offences, and is due before magistrates in Crewe today (30 November).
