A brick has been thrown at a police car in Stoke-on-Trent.
Officers say it happened around 8am this morning (26 June), as they were dealing with an unrelated matter on Sun Street in Shelton.
The vehicle's windows were smashed during the incident, putting it out of service.
Stoke-on-Trent South Neighbourhood Policing Team Commander, CI Karen Stevenson said: " This is the third attack on a police car in this area in the past two months and I am keen to find out who was behind it.
"Officers responding to calls for help should be able to feel confident that both they and their vehicle will be safe. They should not have to worry that their car will have been damaged when they return to it. Unfortunately, as the officers were inside one of the properties at the time, they didn't see what happened.
"We'd really like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything to do with this attack. This type of behavior is unacceptable and won't be tolerated. Police officers are here to serve the community and should be able to do so without fear that they, or their car risk being attacked."
