Port Vale striker Tom Pope says a win against Cambridge will mean they have had a decent start to the season in the first month.
The Valiants have won one, drawn three and lost one of their opening five league games.
Pope is hoping to be involved in Saturday's game after being on the bench at Grimsby, where the Vale suffered their first league defeat of the season.
The striker has also spoken about some of the club's promising youngster like Nathan Smith, James Gibbons and Ryan Campbell-Gordon who made his league bow last weekend.
Pope, also spoke of his sadness of his former Bury who were expelled from the Football League this week after failing to find a buyer.
