Vale sign defender

Port Vale have signed Andre Bikey on a deal until the end of the season.

The defender has put pen to paper on a contract after training with the club.

The 32-year-old's previous clubs include Reading, Burnley, Bristol City, Middlesbrough and Charlton.

The Cameroon international originally moved to England back in 2007 on a loan spell with Reading after performing well at the African Cup of Nations.

Promotion with Reading saw him play in the Premier League for the first time.

In total, Andre has played in over 225 competitive games in England, scoring 13 goals.

Bikey, who will wear the number 39 shirt, will not be available for tonight's game against Shrewbury but will be in contention for Tuesday's game against Coventry.
