Vale handed away tie in last eight of EFL Trophy

Port Vale have been handed an away tie in the quarter-finals of the Checkatrade Trophy.

The Valiants will make the trip to League One outfit Bristol Rovers.

Neil Aspin’s side reached the last eight after beating Shrewsbury Town on penalties on Tuesday night after the game finished 1-1 after 90 minutes.

The tie is to be played in the week commencing January 21.

Bury v Oxford United

The Vale are back in league action on Saturday when they entertain Colchester United.
