Vale draw blank at Crawley

Port Vale were held to a 0-0 draw at Crawley.

Manager John Askey made three changes going into the game.

Luke Joyce returned after suspension, Rhys Browne was fit again after illness and there was a recall for Scott Burgess.

Callum Evans, Will Atkinson and Tom Conlon who was suspended made way.

The Vale were indebted to goalkeeper Scott Brown who made three one-on-one saves during the game.

Speaking to the clubs official website boss John Askey said: "There were signs of getting back to where we want to be and hopefully the next home game we can be firing on all cylinders."

The Valiants are 10th in the table, five points off the play-off places.

John Askey's side are back in action on Saturday when they entertain Cheltenham.
