Port Vale boss Neil Aspin is said to be considering his future.
The Vale opened the New Year with a 1-1 draw at leaders Lincoln.
Manny Oyeleke equalised in the 90th minute to earn the Valiants a share of the spoils after Shay McCartan had put the Imps in front just before the hour mark.
Speaking to the club's official website Aspin said: "When you come away from home against a team who are top of the league and I thought we were playing quite well, and you are still getting booed by your own supporters that's not very good.
"It obviously means that there's many people that want me sacked and that is a disappointing part of the game, but there was certainly a lot of positives from the players performance.
"I think now is the time to weigh things up and then we will see what happens."
The Vale are now 19th in the table, eight points above the drop zone.
The Valiants are next in action on Tuesday 8 January when they entertain Shrewsbury Town in the Checkatrade Trophy.
