Stoke City have brought in defender Cameron Carter-Vickers on loan.

The 21-year-old arrives from Tottenham, having had loan spells with Sheffield United, Ipswich and Swansea.

The central defender will spend the 2019/20 season at the bet365 Stadium and is the ninth player to check-in during the summer transfer window.

Manager Nathan Jones told the club's official website: “Cameron’s arrival strengthens our central defensive resources which is something we made a priority after Ryan Shawcross suffered his unfortunate injury.

"He’s a highly promising young player who has already shown that the Championship holds no fears for him.

“He was wanted by a number of clubs at this level and we’re delighted to have managed to sign him.”
