Adam Peaty has claimed Gold in the Men's 100 metres breaststroke at the British Swimming Championships in Glasgow.

The Uttoxeter swimmer clocked the fastest time of the year as he finished in 57.87.

It was nearly a second ahead of his nearest rival James Wilby who came home in a time of 58.66 with Ross Murdoch third in a time of 59.21.

Peaty's time also ensured qualification for this summer's World Championships in South Korea.
