No shots on target as Stoke are held at home

Stoke City and Reading failed to land a shot on target as the two fought out a 0-0 draw.

Manager Michael O'Neill made just the one enforced change for the game.

Skipper Ryan Shawcross who limped off in the midweek win over Luton with a groin injury was replaced by Danny Batth.

Tom Ince twice went close to breaking the deadlock while ex-Potter Charlie Adam fired across the face of goal in the second half but no one was on hand to convert the opportunity.

The result leaves Stoke in the relegation zone in 22nd place, five points behind their opponents on Saturday who are 18th.

The Potters are back in action on Friday night when they make the trip to Middlesbrough who are 20th and three points above them in the table.
