The man who helped fire Crewe Alexandra to promotion has signed a new contract.
Striker Chris Porter has today penned a new one year deal.
The experienced forward played a key role in the clubs promotion from League Two last season, scoring 14 goals in 31 appearances for Dave Artell’s side.
Porter has been a stand out performer since his arrival in south Cheshire in the summer of 2017 with 41 goals in an Alex shirt.
Formerly of Sheffield United and Derby, the 36-year-old will now look to continue his form for the Railwaymen in League One when Crewe get back to action.
Porter’s new contract initially runs until the end of the 2020/21 season.
