Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland says after a "horrendous" 12 months he is ready to head back onto the pitch.
The 23-year-old has been given the all clear to return to action following a second operation on the ankle injury he picked up while on international duty with England in March 2016.
The 'keeper has spent time in Qatar undergoing intensive rehabilitation, and was able to meet up with the squad at their training camp in Dubai last month.
Today he tweeted "Surgeon couldn't be happier with my ankle, fracture completely healed and free to progress! Best early birthday present ever."
