Port Vale moved out of the bottom four thanks to a 3-2 win over relegation rivals Swindon Town.
The visitors took the leadthrough Jon Obika ten minutes from half time, but the Valiants were level within 60 seconds through Chris Eagles with his second goal in as many games.
JJ Hooper put the hosts ahead five minutes after the restart and two minutes after Anton Forrester had a great chance to make the game safe. But the striker, who was playing despite the death of his father, missed a penalty after Eagles had been fouled.
Hooper added his second, and Vale's third, in the 87th minute.
Luke Norris then pulled one back in stoppage time but it was too late.
Victory lifted the Vale above their opponents and to within two points of safety.
Michael Brown's team are back in action on Tuesday night when they make the trip to Northampton.
