Aspin delighted with victory

Port Vale secured their first win under new boss Neil Aspin.

They beat Cheltenham 3-1 to seal their first win at home in the league this season.

Tom Pope scored twice with a stunning strike from Ben Whitfield sandwiched in between.

The visitors pulled one back in stoppage time through Kevin Dawson.

The win lifted the Valiants out of the relegation zone and up to 22nd in the table.

The Vale are back in action on Tuesday night when they make the trip to Morecambe.
