We raise money with a number of events throughout the year. Simon Humphreys joined the Signal news team in 1994 as a freelance and came on board full time 2 years later.
He combines news and sport, reporting Premier League matches for our sister station Talksport. He still turns out for five-a-side games even though he's not as fit as he once was and organises charity 11 a side games. He's a Potteries boy through and through but has just moved to Cheshire to see how the other half live.
Ian currently lives in Newcastle Under Lyme, he was brought up in the Midlands moving between Nottingham and Leicester for most of his childhood.
Ian went to University in Lancaster for 3 years studying English Language and Literature, but throwing myself into as much student radio as possible. Ian trained as a Broadcast Journalist in Preston for a year before heading into work
Before coming to Signal Ian worked at various stations across the North West in places like Manchester, Preston and Blackpool.
